Sweden is the 55th largest country in the world and the 5th largest in Europe (449964 km²) with a population of around 9,000,000, of these around 1.1 million (12%) are believd to be foreign born.

Swedens primary language is Swedish although the majority of Swedes understand and speak English with this language being a compulsory subject at most stages of their education.

Children between the age of 1–5 are allocated a place in day care as part of Swedens welfare system,  comprehensive school is compulsory for those aged 6-16, followed by three-year upper secondary school (non-compulsory) with possible further studies at a university or university college (högskola). All stages of the education process are guvernment funded.

Around 75% of Swedes belong to the Church of Sweden, this number does decrease by about 1% each year.

Temperatures in Sweden range from around 23° in the south dutring the summer periods to as low as -16° in the north during the winter periods. 

Swedens economy can be perceived as extreamly healthy with a strong influence on foreign trade, with heavy resource in Timber, hydropower, and iron ore along with ABBA Swedens exporting capacity ranks highly within international trade.

Swedens sporting accociatiopns prove internationally competive the ice hockey team Tre Kronor has won the World Championships seven times, The Swedish national football team has finishing second in the world cup in 1958, and third twice, in 1950 and 1994
